Easter Apple Crisp
Ingredients
Crumble:
- 1 1/4 C Flour
- 1/3 C Granulated Sugar
- 1/3 C Brown Sugar
- 1 C Rolled Oats
- 1 1/2 sticks of Butter (room temp)
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 2/3 C Chopped Nuts (your choice, I used Pecans)
- 1/4 tsp salt
Apple Filling:
- 3/4 C Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 C Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Stick of Butter
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 3 TB Corn Starch
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 6 Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored and sliced into 16 slices per apple
- 1 TB Lemon Juice (Mix with sliced apples to prevent browning)

Directions
Apple Crumble:
- Combine flour, granulated sugar. brown sugar.
- Blend in butter with pastry shears until crumbly.
- Add Rolled Oats and Vanilla. Mix.
- Add Nuts. Mix.
- Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Apple Filling:
- Combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, corn starch, salt, cinnamon and allspice. Mix.
- Add apples to sugar mix and toss.
- Melt butter. Add Vanilla to butter.
- Pour butter mix into pan (9X13).
- Add apple mix to pan and spread evenly.
- Pour crumb mixture over apples. Spread evenly.
- Bake in smoker at 350 F for about 1 hour.
