How To: Grill Beer Brats

How To Grill Beer Brats

  1. Light the charcoal and spread it evenly across the bottom of one-half of the grill.
  2. Preheat the grill to medium-low heat, between 300 and 350°F. This will help cook the brats evenly without burning them.
  3. Place the brats on the grill grates directly over the charcoal.
  4. Cook the brats for about 10 minutes, flipping them every 5 minutes. You can also use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the brats. They should be cooked to at least 140-150°F internal.
  5. Cut up bell peppers with some onion and place in an aluminum half pan. Empty 2 beers in the pan with the brats and peppers cover and let simmer for up to 30 minutes or until the peppers and onions are soft.
  6. Serve with your favorite toppings and enjoy.
