How To: Grill Chicken Wings

How To Grill Chicken Wings

  1. Pat the chicken wings dry and season them with your favorite dry rub or marinade.
  2. Light the charcoal and wait for it to turn gray. Spread the coals out in an even layer, and oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F.
  4. Place the chicken wings on the grill grates directly over the charcoal.
  5. Cook the wings for about 15-20 minutes, flipping them every 5 minutes. You can also use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the wings. They should be cooked to at least 165°F. Pro tip: Place wings in a pan and cover with foil and steam for 15-20 minutes to make the wings more tender. Take the wings out of the pan and allow the sauce to caramelize on the wings.
  6. Allow the wings to rest for five minutes before serving.
  7. Once the wings are cooked to your desired level of doneness, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy.
