Christmas Salsa Verde


  • 10, rinsed and halved tomatillos
  • 2 large cloves garlic, peeled
  • 3 jalapeños stemmed and roughly cut into half
  • 1/3 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 large red onion, 1/4 chopped
  • 2 Limes, halved
  • Salt

Equipment & Fuel


1. Fill one chimney full of Royal Oak Charcoal. When the Charcoal is fully lit, pour coals evenly over the grill.

2. In a Cast Iron Pan, place tomatillos, red onion, and jalapeños haves face down and grill until they are softened. Continue to flip until completely soften.

3. Remove ingredients from the grill, let cool then use a blender to blend add garlic cilantro, and salt. If too thick, add water to thin it.

4. Add your favorite tortilla chips to dip in and serve!
